Mid Week Boredom...

Time to update!
I don't have time to post much but I have a few pics to put up.
Just to catch up on a few things... Jaycie is LOVING 4th grade so far! And I don't see that changing anytime soon... She has Mrs. Owen (her teacher from 2nd grade) and they have this connection like no other. Jaycie rules the roost and Mrs. Owen just lets her! HA As one little girl in her class told her grandmother when the g-mother asked her if Jaycie sat by her, she replied... "No, Jaycie doesn't really SIT in one seat... she just kinda sits where ever, whenever she wants." And that is the truth! Jaycie even calls Mrs. Owen "mom" and Mrs. Owen's husband, "dad"!! So, I'm thinking and hoping this will be a great school year. Thank you LORD for such caring, loving teachers!!!!!!!! We are however, learning that 4th grade is not very easy! Jaycie is learning to study and I am praying for patience! ha
Now, let me tell you about Mr. Jay Cooper and his long lived facination with "budin budins"! That child has a come apart every morning when I try to put a shirt on him that doesn't have a "budin budin" on it??? He is so funny!! He rides his little 4wheeler until dark almost everynight. He is talking in sentences, can tell you almost anything that he wants to tell you including... I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH, MOMMY! It's the sweetest thing!!! I just love it! Tony taught him Sunday morning to say it and he now tells everyone that he comes in contact with. He is a DADDY'S boy though... he loves his Daddy and is pretty much glued to his side at home. Jay Cooper's bday is the 15th of this month!! We're having a John Deere party & he's already picked out his decor for the party.

Oh... I remember my Daddy Eddie teaching me to ride a bike. He has the patience of the most patient man in the world and so he taught me most of the "hands on" stuff that is taught to children...like how to hit and catch a ball, ride a bike and swim, among many others, I'm sure.
I still have a scar on my knee from when I was learning to ride a bike and I actually just showed it to my daughter a few days ago as we were comparing scars on our knees!

Hey bloggers!! It's been awhile, I have been facebookin' it lately so I have neglected my blog. Sorry!
Where to start??? We have been having a busy, busy summer! Jaycie is going to the park to Summer Daycamp. She loves it. They go to Slip N Dip everyday and then every week, they go to Skate Zone, bowling and to the movies! Her ball season is over but her team came in 1st place! They had a great season and Tony got his first dose of coaching...she plays coach pitch and he was the pitcher for the majority of the games. On a sad note, for those of you that don't know... We lost Jaycie's Dad on May 24th which was the day before her 9th Birthday! It was a major unexpected shock for us all but thankfully, Jaycie has done pretty good with it... I think it has helped that she has stayed so busy this summer. She still mentions him everyday but she knows he's in Heaven and she pictures him sitting there talking to God all day, everyday! ha (and lately with all the MJ talk, she thinks he's also talking to MJ in Heaven?) School starts in about 3 weeks so we should be back into our routine soon! We're hoping that she gets the same teacher that she had in 2nd grade! This teacher moved to 4th grade last year and we're excited to maybe get her again!

On to the Super Duper Jay Cooper.....This boy is something else!!! We are having so much fun with him! He's learning something new everyday and is growing like a weed! He doesn't walk anywhere... HE RUNS! ha He's wide open all the time. His favorite things right now are "budin, budins", AKA anything with wheels! Everytime we go outside he wants on his budin, budin or on his Dad's budin, budin (4wheeler). He loves to try to find budin, budins on TV and on the computer! He tells me No, No if I am watching something that doesn't have budin, budins. lol Other than that, he loves to play outside and loves SHOES??? He has this shoe thing going on right now to the point that HE KNOWS WHERE THE SHOE DEPT IS AT WAL-MART!!! He starts pulling his shoes and socks off when we head that way. (and we've never even bought any shoes for him there?) He walks around in my shoes, Tony's shoes and Jaycie's shoes!! He doesn't like to be barefoot either so at any point, when we're at home, he could come walking out in some random shoes? It's too funny! He is talking so much now. He sings some, screams alot (gets it honest), and is alittle demanding at times. He helps me water my flowers every afternoon and loves to help his Daddy in the yard. He and Jaycie have a TIGHT bond! He goes to bed talking about JJ and wakes up looking for JJ!! She loves being a big sister and does a great job helping us with him.
Next Tuesday is our 5th wedding anniversary!!! We are leaving for the beach on Thursday and coming home Monday... NO KIDS!!! Just me and my man!!! :) We are so excited about getting away. I am already stressing about leaving the kids but I know they will be fine. Tony's sister is coming to stay with them and my mom will also help. I'll post some recent pics...

Biggest FISH EVER!

Yea me!!!! Tony and I took off this past Monday and we went crappie fishing... WEll, the crappie would not bite for anything BUT I caught a 4.6 pound bass, 20 inches long, with a 4 pound crappie line and a small crappie hook!!!!! Tony couldn't believe it! He was so jealous but in a proud way! Here's some pics! (He caught an 8 pounder in 2007 and had it mounted so he is getting this one mounted for me so we can have "his and her BASS"!

Conversation w/ Jay Cooper (16 months old) this morning...

I was in the bathroom getting dressed for work when I hear (from the living room)...

"MOMMA...MOMMA....MOMMA..."

So, I come running... "What baby boy?"

He is standing beside the rocker recliner and he says....

"ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Oh just made my heart MELT!!!! So, Of course, I grabbed him up and we rocked and watched Olivia the pig on Disney and talked about her puppy for a minute then he climbed out of my lap and headed for the John Deer! ha But it was super sweet while it lasted!

Jaycie was in the New Hope pageant this past Sat night and she was sooooooo pretty (if I say so myself)!! This was her first pageant so I was super worried how she would do... and she did GREAT! She didn't place but she had some MAJOR competition! Out of 35 girls in her group, only 3 placed. She had a blast though and said she wants to do it again next year, and the next and the next and the next, ect!! So, I guess I have a pageant girl on my hands from here on out, which is fine with me! I loved them too when I was in school. Here's some of her pics...

WOW! Has it really been since my birthday that I posted? Sorry! Things have finally settled down since the holidays...which were great! I have some new pics to post from Christmas... This is Jaycie with her NEW CELL PHONE! She was soooooo very excited to get a cellphone for Christmas but unfortunately it has already been taken away due to her "smart mouth". She might get it back this weekend if she can keep up the good work? She loves texting and carrying it around! Jay Cooper's favorite Christmas gift so far has been his little 4 wheeler... He hasn't figured out that you have to steer to go where you want... He just drives until he runs into something and then just keeps pushing the gas and his wheels just spin! ha But he'll fugure it out soon enough! Here's a few other pics... This was Jaycie's loot from Santa and here was Jay Cooper's (Sorry it's sideways!) I have tons more pictures but don't have time to post them all right now. The reason that I have soooo many pictures is because Tony suprised me with a NEW CAMERA for Christmas!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT, love it, love it!!!!!! It's a Canon but that's all I can remember... It has a zoom that will zoom forever!! So, anytime anyone needs good pics, CALL ME! ha I'm not a pro but I don't charge either! I just love taking pictures! On a different note, Jay Cooper made his first visit to Mickey D's over the holidays...And he loved every minute of it!!! I'm sure we'll be visiting again soon!

Where in the world have 21 years gone? Did I say 21? I WISH! Today is my Birthday and I have been dreading the BIG 3-0 all year! But it's here and I don't feel older so I guess it's ok. I did stop to think about all that has happened in the last 30 years and I am VERY proud of what I have accomplished... there are regrets but I think that's just normal. We just live and learn!

Awwwww! My sweet baby boy is ONE today! I cannot believe that it has been a year since he was born! My sister in law emailed me earlier and said..."OUT and FINE"... that was the text that Tony sent her when Jay Cooper came into this world. I didn't even know that until today, I was actually out completely when he was born so I missed everything. He's the sweetest, silliest, climbing-est boy ever! ha He's everything that I ever expected a boy to be! He's got on his B-day tshirt today and I sent little mini cupcakes to daycare for all his little friends. This is just how much he has grown and changed in 1 year...Well, the first pic was from January, I don't have one on my computer at work any earlier than Jan BUT still look how he has GROWN!

Time Surely flies! I was sent from the Dr's office to the hospital because the baby's HEART BEAT could not be detected AT ALL! At 11:15 I walked through the doors of the ER and at 11:33 my sweet boy was born w/ no problems! I call that some serious work from above!!!!!!! And I THANK MY AWESOME GOD daily for it!

Just a little piece of advice... If you are ever asked to DOG SIT, and you're house is already a circus, politely DECLINE!!!!!!!!! ha Tony tells me that I get us in the biggest messes doing "favors" for friends. The 4 month old little girl PUG is just precious but HHHYYYPPPEEERRR! She runs circles around Jaycie, Jay Cooper and Harley (our inside dog). I was late for work this morning because she had us all off our "morning routine"! I couldn't find my camera last night to snap some pics of Ruby (the pug) and Jay Cooper but that were so cute playing. She had her little Halloween dress on ... I will get some pics maybe tonight and post them.
Well, Super Duper Jay Cooper will be 1 whole year old this time next week! He is completely MOBILE... walking everywhere! We laugh at him b/c we think he just walks to be walking... No where in particular that he is trying to go, he just walks constantly. He has completely recovered from the MRSA! That was sooo scary. Hospitals and Babies don't jive... thanks to EVERYONE for the prayers, calls and visits.
Jaycie Rose is a New Hope Pee Wee Cheerleader this year. I need to snap some pics and post them for all to see. She's so cute in her uniform. She has games on Saturday and so far her little football boys are undefeated. We have found though, that 3rd grade is a very tough year. K-2 was a breeze but 3rd grade brings lots of homework and studying which she is not used to having to do. And 3rd grade math is a complete STRANGER to Jaycie! (I am looking for a math tutor in New Hope, if anyone may know someone. We have our teacher/parent meeting Monday so I will find out more then.) She is really struggling in math...and anyone reading this that went to school w/ me... YES, SHE GETS IT HONEST!!! I literally had to get my calculator out the other night to make sure I was telling her right. Ha Bless her heart!
Well, I have yakked enough, I will get back to work. Just wanted to update everyone the kids and life at the McDill house.

Well... Hello everyone!!! I am "THE BIGGEST BLOGGING DUMMY" ever! I have played (at work) on this computer since 1:30, it's now 4:41 and I still have the ugliest background and colors of anyone! BUT.... I have a great ole friend that lives in Jackson now that has started her "OWN" blogging thingy online and I wish her little "SMART BUTT" some luck! haha Maybe she will sorry for me and HELP MY BLOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will add pics and tell you about my family at some point this weekend as for now, I have wasted the whole afternoon and am ready to go home! Have a grrat weekend!

Aunt Lisa is coming in for the long weekend so we will be grilling out and shooting fireworks with her. We hope to have a day of leisure in the pool! Oh speaking of pool... Jay Cooper loves the water!!

I had no idea that it had been a month and half since I had posted! So Sorry!

First I will share a few of our beach pics... And tell you alittle about that wonderful weekend. WE ALL had the stomach virus!!!!! ALL OF US!!! Somehow we still managed to have a pretty good time. The weather was WONDERFUL and I had never before seen the water in Gulf Shores so clean and clear. We shopped, ate, shopped and ate some more, laid on the beach, swam in the hotel pool and got in the hot tub at night. Jaycie loved the sun and the sand and Super Duper took a long nap under the beach umbrella but he still got to feel the sand between his toes...

Time to go to bed but I will post more tomorrow.

We are off to the beach this weekend! We are leaving out early Friday morning going to Gulf Shores. We are all so ready to get away. Aunt Lisee is tagging along to "help" with the kids! Ha She more like takes over with Jay Cooper and Jaycie both... I usually don't even have to change a diaper when she's around.
Jaycie will be turning 8 on the 25th of May so we are kinda going to celebrate her B-day while we are at the beach, then on June 1st, she is having her big swim party at Slip N Dip~ Just CANNOT believe that she is almost 8! (I am getting soooo old) And Super Duper Jay Cooper will be 7 months old on the 15th! Crazy how time flies when your having fun!
And fun is definately what I am having....... Non stop allday but it is so worth it when Super Duper gives me that BIG SWEET smile and touches my face!!! He keeps me on my feet but he is the absolute sweetest baby I have ever seen! He NEVER cries, sleeps all night everynight and is just as happy and content as he can be!!
I am sooo blessed to have 2 wonderful children and a great husband... not to mention the "johnny on the spot" babysitters next door and great inlaws that also love to help out.
Oh... gotta tell you about Jaycie's 2nd grade class! They scored the HIGHEST on the end of year Math, Reading and Language tests of all the 2nd grade classes! And Jaycie scored the highest on the Language test in her class! She was sooo proud and so was I!!
Well, I better get back to cleaning. I am home today with 2 sick children. Both have the stomach virus so I am disinfecting the house so that hopefully Tony and I will not get it.

WOW!! Time flies when your having fun! I cannot believe that it is already April and school is almost out. Jaycie has had a wonderful school year and will miss the 2nd grade badly! Her teachers have been an absolute GOD send. She has learned so much and was on Superintendent's list the last two 9 weeks. We are so proud.
Jay Cooper is rolling over and scooching his hinney up in the air.... Won't be long and he will be mobile! Tony can't wait but I know what a hand full he will be from that point forward! HA He's also trying to get his first tooth and we will all be glad when it finally breaks through.
Well..... Let me just say that last Saturday, Tony & I went fishing and I caught a crappie so big and fat that it broke my pole in half!!!! Oh, it was GREAT!!! (Tony says there was just something wrong with my pole but I know it was just the big ole crappie!) We caught 21 crappie and then had a Birthday fish fry for my Mom on Sunday.

Hope everyone had a great Easter. Aunt Lisee spent the Easter weekend with us and I appreciated the MUCH needed break! I don't think that I changed one dirty/wet diaper all weekend or even fed Jay Cooper a single time. She came in and took over! It was really nice.

Well... I haven't yacked lately so here goes... The kids are doing good, everyone is well!! Finally!! Jaycie had to do her Black History Month book report lastnight and could not understand why in the world she had to read and write about a black person!! HA! She also didn't understand why we don't have a white history month. (And I really don't understand that either!) She did her report on Ida B Wells.

Super Duper POOPER, Jay Cooper, is doing good. He is growing and exploring and learning. We are having so much fun watching him discover new tricks. Lately he has discovered that HE can be loud like his sister and Nanny. It's the funniest thing to watch him coo and blab, he will get louder and louder! I told Tony the other night that I am afraid that we are going to have another VERY VOCAL child!! He said Great, that's just what we need! Jaycie talks enough for the whole family! HA

Ok, it's downhill to Friday so everyone have a Great Friday and a Wonderful Weekend!

Well, today is the big 4-oh for Tony! Jaycie sang "Happy Birthday Old Man" to him this morning and when he got to work, he found the "decorations" that we put in his office... lots of BLACK balloons, black streamers everywhere, 40 and Fabulous banner and the Old Man driving kit that even had air freshener in it for the TOXIC FUMES that comes with old age! haha! I have posted a few pictures from his B-day party this past weekend. I hope this 40th B-day is one that he will always remember and can't wait to celebrate 50 with him.... Oh wait.. then I will be 40!!!! I CAN wait but will surely be by his side when he turns 50! and 60... and 70...

It's Monday again already! Man, the weekends fly by!
We learned this weekend that the flu does not go well with a 4 month old! Tony took Jay Cooper to the Dr Friday and was told that he had a mild case of the flu. (If what he has is a mild case, I would HATE to see the full blown flu) He has been just pitiful all weekend. Tony is off with him today and says that he seems to be feeling some better. We just hope and pray that it doesn't get into his chest and cause his RSV to flair up again.
Jaycie is not feeling very good either. She was crying with her ear hurting lastnight and this morning with her throat hurting. She is at school but not sure that she will last allday.
Other than everyone being sick, it was a good weekend. We had Tony's Suprise 4-0 Birthday Party Friday night. He got gag gifts and Alabama stuff. Everyone had a great time. I will try to post some pictures of the party soon. He will not be the BIG 4-0 until Thursday... Yep, his Birthday is on Valentine's Day. He swears that's why he is such a SWEETHEART!! ha
